Laser Liposuction

Dr. Quardt is proud to offer a leading edge laser treatment that combines the best of two cosmetic treatments: fat removal combined with collagen-production stimulator. Laser Liposuction provides a safe, effective, minimally-invasive alternative to traditional liposuction. Laser liposuction employs the use of a laser beam that liquifies the excess fat to produce a more refined contour in targeted areas of the body.

The second benefit is the collagen production stimulator aspect of the laser. The laser tightens the stretched skin that is being treated, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, which are the body’s natural elastic fibers that keep the skin looking young and toned. Traditional liposuction, in contrast, does not tighten the skin. Additionally, there are studies that have shown that the laser also reduces swelling by causing small blood vessels that break during the procedure to coagulate.

By providing Lipotherme, Dr. Quardt offers her patients several benefits over traditional liposuction:

  • Fewer risks and complications
  • Fewer risks and complications
  • Lessened tissue trauma
  • Lessened scarring
  • Less downtime
  • Reduced procedure time
  • Skin tightening along with fat removal

As with traditional liposuction, Lipotherme can be used on areas of the body such as the waist, abdomen, back, hips, buttocks, knees, ankles, face, neck and more.

The Procedure
Dr. Quardt will administer a mild local anesthetic before making several small incisions in the area to be treated.  Next, she will insert a thin, hollow tube called a cannula through the incisions.  Then, moving the cannula gently back and forth, a tiny laser built into the cannual heats and liquefies the excess fat cells, making fat removal easier.

Recovery with Lipotherme is relatively fast and most patients are able to resume their normal activities the following day.

Dr. Quardt will be happy to personally consult with you to discuss your expectations, whether you are a good candidate for Lipotherme laser liposuction, and what to expect during and after the procedure, including any potential side effects.
